ArtisanAle Fresh Wort Kit Bohemian Pilsner
This is the pale lager that started it all, first brewed in 1842 in Pilsen, Bohemia (now part of the Czech Republic). A new style of beer was born, combining pale malt, Saaz hops, soft local water, and Bavarian lager yeast to create a clear, golden beer with a crisp, hoppy profile—a stark contrast to the darker, cloudier beers of the time. Over time, pale lagers have become what someone expects when they ask for a beer, almost anywhere in the world.
The Czech Pils has a little more character than popular light lagers, a true beer lover's lager. Pair it with cured meats, pretzels, and cheddar cheese for the perfect afternoon.
If you’re looking to get really authentic, try pouring it through our Martinus side-pour tap with the Czech Pilsner Spout! Its ball valve and fine mesh screen let you adjust the pour to create a thick, meringue-like head. This foam isn’t just aesthetic—it traps aromas of floral Saaz hops and bready malt, enhancing the sensory experience. You might get a few smart remarks from your fellow Aussie beer drinker, but those who know, know.
